Welcome to the Reber Roundup Blog, an online campfire cocktail hour.

We may only have the Reber Roundup for a few days a year, but here, online, we can gather 'round the campfire at any time. Please post your pictures, your recipes and your thoughts about the weekend. If you are having trouble with posts, just call me and we'll walk through it.

Cowboy Coffee

Nothin' says Reber Roundup quite like a steaming cup of cowboy joe. Could be one of my favorite parts of the weekend. First, it's pulling on some dusty, stiff boots, stumbling down to the creek with a charred coffee pot in hand, filling it with icy water, then coffee and hanging it over the fire. "Brewing" times vary, which gives a cowpoke time to think about the night before and the day ahead. Whether the recollections are regrettable, humorous or barely memorable, that first draw on a mug of inky brew brings it all into focus.

Here's a challenge for you cowgirls and boys. Bring a bag of Arbuckles to the Roundup for a special prize.
