Just a few weeks away

Cowbpokes, the Reber Roundup is imminent. In just four weeks, we'll be gathering wood, burning steaks and soothing sore heads and knees. This year's weekend should be a good one since many of you will have the opportunity to make a leisurely day-time drive on Friday.

For those who just cannot wait to get to Jack Creek, Sue and I plan to be in situ by July 2, maybe even earlier. I may set up camp as early as the weekend before. If you do plan to join us early, let me know so we can accommodate.

Couple of notes for this year. Please, please no bottled beer or bottled water. It's a trash-hauling nightmare and is so outre from an environmental standpoint. Ditto for cans of soft drinks, cardboard drink containers and the like. Okay, this is not an edict, but if you feel the need for those things, pack it in and pack it out. Nuff said.

Expect a keg of some sort of local beer, perhaps even homebrew. I have some time on my hands and am itching to get back in the home brewing business.
